Set-up narrative for the above clip (for when Thom has to do the 'talk show circuit'):

"Well, (host's name), we had done a 13-minute version of Feed The Dog/Use Me and had no real idea that we were getting close to our 30-minute limit -- we were havin' fun and it kinda got away from us. The deal in Memphis is that if you go over the time limit, you're gonna be penalized."

"Now, if you watch closely here, you'll notice that Chuck moves over behind me to tap me on my back so I see the judge holding up the '2 MINUTES' poster out on the dance floor -- which you can't see. We shut down as quickly, but professionally, as possible. It worked. We weren't penalized. That was on the first night of the Semi-Finals. The next night, we started in with that tune and finished it off the right way. It was our special little tribute to 'Pond Scum' (the late 'Al G', but he's another whole story!). A cool thing about this short clip is that everybody in the band gets included in the shoot -- Denise panned back and forth beautifully in order to accomplish that. Check it out..."

Here's a little-known G. E. Smith and the SNL (Saturday Night LIVE) Band tune that The TPB has re-worked. It went over well in Memphis. The lyrics are a bit risquee, but it's still a great blues/horns tune. We cut the video a bit short, starting right after Chuck ended his solo, but you can still get a great feel for it.

This one starts a bit late, too, but it's our original that also appeared on the Bummertent Blues Vol. 2 CD. It has been re-recorded and appears on the new Slip On Outta Sight CD.

Set-up narrative for the above clip:

Here's our arrangement of the Albert Collins classic. Al kicks this one off with a hard tribal beat, and is joined by Jeff with that solid bassline...it features Thom on two great guitar solos, Danny on some slick fills, and 48 bars of Chuck on the Tenor. Keith and Karl hold the song together from their respective far ends of the stage, and the dancers just couldn't help themselves as they crowded the floor to gyrate in front of us.  On our Slip On Outta Sight CD, Chuck plays both Tenor and Baritone Saxes, with the Bari doing the solo, and he is now performing the entire song out live with the Bari, when space allows. It didn't on our trip to Memphis, so his licks here are all on the Tenor. The crowd seemed to appreciate it, regardless...
